Dr. Jarrett Williams established Meek Blood Center, located in Abilene, Texas, in the early 1950's. The current medical director is Dr. Maureen Trotter, M.D. Meek Blood Center is accredited by the American Association of Blood Banks, which strives to protect patients and the nation's blood supply by promoting the highest standards. Meek Blood Center supplies blood to 15 hospitals and medical facilities in a 12 county area. These facilities are:
